A big part of sales success is managing to get yourself properly into the right state of mind to perform as efficiently as you can every single day. This is pretty imperative if you want to keep efficiency high and wasted time as low as possible. If you have inconsistent habits and don’t really have a set plan for each day, you will be far from making the most of your opportunities.

The best way to make sure you are making the most of each day is to set up a successful string of daily habits that work for you, and help you to work as efficiently as possible. It has been scientifically proven that people with strong routines who stick them are often a lot more successful in the workplace than people who do not have a routine of any kind.

There are subconscious routines that you can find yourself settled in to over time, as you slowly begin to start doing the same things again and again in the same order. However, subconscious routines are often just fallen into and have not been properly crafted to get the best out of your abilities.

To do that, you have to set up a well thought out plan for each day, and create daily habits that will slowly but surely push you to more and more success. This is especially important when it comes to sales, as the difference between a bad day and a great day can be a whole lot of money for you.

So, now that you understand the importance of having daily habits, the question is…what should they habits be?

Well the smartest thing to do in this case is to follow the habits of people who have already become very successful in your field. This is a sure fire way to make sure you are able to follow in their footsteps.

To help you get started, here are a few of the daily habits used by the majority of successful sales people.

  • Start calling immediately. Do not come to the office and mess around. You don’t have time to lounge around and get coffee. You need making the most out of every single second of your time. Time is money, so you better not waste any or its coming right out of your pocket.
  • Always try to transition to face to face meetings if possible. Statistically, you are a lot more likely to make a sale if you are speaking to someone face to face, than if you are only speaking to them on the phone. Be smart about this, even if you cannot physically get to the person, you can always try to get them onto a skype call.
  • Make sure you try to leverage every happy customer. Don’t just leave the interaction there, make sure you try to find out if they know anyone else who may be interested in your services. That way, you can have your happy customers actively bringing you more customers, and this compound effect will be great for you moving forward.
